I picked this one up from a forum member recently. A very cool helmet, with green camo over shipboard grey. Net and chin strap were added, but are period originals.

Looks like the sailor was a member of an artillery unit: looks something like 1st artillery and then a 3. I never really understood the "no" katakana and how exactly to read such a grouping of kanji. Hopefully someone else can explain?
This looks to be that helmet that was for sale on a well known german helmet sale site. Looks cool, esp. with the net!

Kanji translation appreciated. You can see there was an older tag on the right that was partially rubbed off. The anchor is non-magnetic, and probably brass.Comment

That is a good looking "Used" helmet! It was offered on Ken N,'s German helmet website for a time. Every componet looks right. I like that shade of green. Nice
