    Japanese Floppy Cap

    Hi All,

Going thru some of my bins and forgot I had this Floppy Cap. Can't Remember the details as it was long time ago that I purchased it but remember that it came from Dan King . Know trying to figure out if its possibly Japanese Army, Navy or used by Nurses. Floppy is Green with tag inside and one kanji mark for size "Small". Any suggestions regarding use/service is greatly appreciated.

    Regards, David.

I *think* these were worn by nurses. I have a similar cap with a female name inside. There was some sort of floppy cap worn by the army, there are some great pictures of them in wear in New Guinea, but they lacked the band with the "bow" on the side.

Hard to tell, because almost all Japanese males were wearing that design of cap as a summer cap in the 50s.

I remember seen Akira Kurosawa always wearing this type of cap on the set.
