surprise find of Japanese items with Italian helmet
My big find -- I got an Italian helmet from ebay for around $40. It came with a bunch of misc extra military stuff. I was amazed that it was all from the Pacific theater. A Japanese helmet star, several chipped saki cups, a .45 ammo clip, and 5 various Japanese equipment or aircraft aluminum data plates. Plus pictures of the man on various unknown islands and some war ration books. Basically, a named grouping from someone who served in the Pacific. How the Italian helmet factored in - I don't know.
