Help ID some cloth insignia and mini-marked blade..

The minature sword blade is marked with kanji. I'm assuming it had been stuck up in the picture frame and for some time and durng shipping it got knocked loose. I was surprised to see markings on it. I have no idea on the fancy gilded insignia. It came with a lot of IJA collar tabs and chevrons. Don't know what to make of the stamp? There is also a small plain painted wooden heart that was likely from a loved one or girlfriend. These came from either Tinian or Saipan. Any help appreciated on identification.

    Regards,
    Joel

A total guess here, but they could be Omamori. Good luck charms that have been removed from their holding place, either in an omamori pouch or senninbari. I have seen similar items that were omamori.

I agree that they are omamori. The blade is called a kogatana. It is a small utility knife worn with a decorative metal handle called kodzuka. It is worn in the pocket of a wakizashi scabbard.
