Japanese Cap, would like it authenticated

Here is another cap I would like authenticated.

Is the dark sweat band ok? How about the star? I have never seen a star on a hexagon before.

I haven't seen that exact type before. The cloth looks right, leather is a bit darker than normal but that doesn't prove anything. That does appear to be a military stamp in there. And it does appear to be a vintage Japanese cap, so the thing to check is that it's not a civil cap with a star and fake stamp added. If you can be sure those are good, then I'd feel pretty comfortable about this one.

between enlisted & officer's models you could have a large collection of Japanese army field caps. There are soooo many different variations as well as manufacturers. This one is non typical but looks alright to me as well
