    translation help please

    hi lads, could one of you gentlemen kindly translate this swords kanji for me

    Thats a smoke oshigata, behond most Wehrmacht nihonto level..id ask over on Nihonto Message Board for a correct translation...most of the time when you run into one the person it came from knows what it is.

      one side says Inoue Shinkai and the other side Tsuda Sukehiro, there is also a date, circa 1670, i could dig out the book and get the exact date. Both these are famous makers. They did make a sword or two together but most signed like this are later forgeries
