IJN flight helmet, a few questions

Greatings all,
This is being sold as a 1944 IJN flight helmet made out of shark skin. I know, its rough, but please see my sigline! Questions.....What is up with the red label, I've never seen one. The red label looks mint, on a rather rough helmet. Other question is, is it indeed corrcectly described? Value on a MINT exmple? As far as the damage, I could fix that to make it disappear and you'd never know it, but I likely wouldn't. Thanks in advance..

The label is the private manufacturers label. Also we know you like issued, salty items but this cap in unissued/unworn & has suffered from improper storage NOT from combat use. My opinion, if it was mint $700. and up.

That was my thinking. As you mentioned to me before and to beware of on items, it likely got the "salt" from a kid riding his bicycle down the street in the 1950's and playing football. As, always, many thanks Jareth.
