question about grenade safety cover

has the japanese T97 grenade only a long safety cover, or is there also a short version?
I have the chance to get a short cover, but i only know a long cover.

The T-99 grenade has a different cover than the T-91 & T-97.

Please see the photos on the above links. If your "short cover" is actually a Type 99 cover, it will not work on a Type 97 because the design of the fuze is different.
