    Oba the last Samurai film

    HI guy's

    anyone know anything about this film? (Oba the last Samurai)

    I found out it was realeased in Japan in Febuary but what about the rest of the world. ???

    don't know much about the movie, but I believe I just picked up a copy of the US book about a month ago at a thrift store. have yet to read it. now I will try to get to it sooner...a very interesting story indeed.

      The books good, I have a copy. The film trailer looks good too but no release date for outside Japan. O well

        Recently saw this movie on a international flight to the US , top movie well done excellent jungle scenes , a movie not to be missed

            Movie is pretty good on the Japanese end. Great jungle scenes as mentioned. The Americans have some really bad actors like Daniel Baldwin.

                I bought the Japanese Blu-ray disc. The movie is quite nice, but I have to agree with NLF, some of the American actors are REALLY bad

                Did any of you see that Harlan Glenn (the author of two USMC books) is in the movie?

                  The link is for downloading the whole movie. It worked fine and quality is super, but the Japanese dialogues are without any English subtitles.
                  Good that they clearly distinguish between the NLF and Army salutes in this moive unlike Letters from Iwo, which got it wrong.
