picked this up today sadly tho star missing from helmet along with a split pin and cover insignia but it was sscroogey priced would the writing be the soldiers name and size ? rgds Dave

Agree looks like a Navy Cover. It is more common to find Navy covers without stamps inside right? -Jeremy

Army covers always have stamps. 1st pattern navy sometimes 2nd pattern navy never.
