Hi guys, i got this today from a friend of mine who got it directly from the vets family,the vet was in the Ra, can anybody tell me anything about it ? cheers Dave

The tsuba is not normal for a military sword. There is no reason for that number to be on the hibaki, unless perhaps it is the English vet's serial number added to prevent anyone from swiping the sword. The sword people can tell you more, but they are going to want to see the tang under the handle.
