Japanese Sword WW2 Bring back

I have been offered this sword. It looks like a WW2 factory piece. It is not in great shape. The blade measures 27 inches. We took the grips off and there are no characters stamped into the tang. Please look at the photos and let me know what you think. I believe this one might be worth around 200 to 300 US.

It's a 1944 pattern shingunto. Blade has seen better days. The sword people wouldn't care much about it, but as a WW2 collectable I'd gladly pay that price range for one like it.

Totally agree. Could also use it to practice polishing skills without messing with a real nihonto blade...

great looking sword , i like it shame about the blade but it`s been there !

I don't know a lot about these but I would drop that much $$ at a show for that sword in a heartbeat.....
