TWO Naval helmets with covers and nets

Yesterday on ebay, TWO different buyers put up 2 different naval helmets complete with covers and nets for buy out prices of about 2k each. They sold within the hour I think. I saw one of them, but passed. Anyways, what do you guys think?

according to my friend the one that sold for $2100. had the second pattern cover insignia reapplied & was a married set that was purchased last year from upstate NY seller at same price. Other helmet & cover look nice & was a very fair price if not a bargain

I saw these right when they came up. The auction with the 2nd pattern cover was sold by millwood gallery last year. The insignia has been reapplied imo. Firstly you can tell by the sewing on the insignia. You can also see in this picture where the replacement was not applied exactly over the shadow of the original. Look at the top, right over the woven insignia. The original stitch line is clearly visible. When this was originally sold it had a hole along the seam right behind the insignia where it had been opened up for the reapplication. It looks to have been repaired now. Hard to tell from the one pic. Helmet/cover look nothing like an original set. This unit went for what it was worth imo. Woven insignia reapplied kills the value on these. The other auction looks ok but I don't like the net.
