    Late War Officers Sword

Can I get some opinions on this sword before I pop on it?

I like it, just want to be sure.

    Regards.

Appears to be missing a couple of parts.

That style of sword wasn't being made "late war". In 1944 they adopted the 1944 pattern mounts as seen below.

At the very least the drag to the scabbard is missing. But I don't like the look of this sword at all. I'm not a sword expert, but this one looks suspicious to me. Japanese officer's swords were never crude. Those blobs that should be sakura on the tsuba just don't cut it.

This is what is missing, and what the tsuba should look like.

That sword is confusing! some of it looks good while other parts do not. The Tsuba bothers me the most. Looks too crude, as others pointed out. May be a parts sword that someone stuck a cheap Chinese Tsuba on??? If it were really cheap.....Maybe???

                    Hello PAB Collector,
I agree with Papa Nambu and Paul.
Do you have better pics of the blade, it's would be helpful, you have to be happy with your item.
Why not wait for a better exemple, last week or so a singunto with leather covered scabbard was sold on *bay for less than $800.
