New Japanese movie about Battle for Saipan

Anyone heard of this movie: Taiheiyō no kiseki: Fox to yobareta otoko? It's coming to Japanese theaters like now I think (February 2011). Looks kind of interesting:

That's based on Captain Oba http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakae_%C5%8Cba I read his book. He lead a group of Japanese soldiers and civilians who held out until they were finally convinced to surrender in December 1945. I definitely want to see this.

The movie premiered here in Saipan and the audience was by invitation only.
I heard good things about it, although very little of it was filmed in Saipan.
The theatre management said that they have no plans to play it for the general public. LOL!
I have ordered the book and am hoping to retrace some of his footsteps.

Its interesting to note how in the past Capt. Oba was looked down upon for surrendering and not killing himself like a good Japanese soldier and now he is a hero. I dont have a problem with that, everyone needs a hero and that was one damn vicious bloody war and bloodier battle here on Saipan.

Japanese War Movie with Japanese sub titles for the US speakers ... that's a different twist....
