Did I do good on Japanese Helmet-Ebay?

Hi Everyone,

I am somewhat new here. I collect mostly US M1s. However, I purchased the following Vet bringback helmet on ebay. Does it look right to you guys? The white paint looks original. Looks like white paint got on the star. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I should have checked here first! Does the star look ok? Is it army? I wrote a book on the US M1 WW II helmet, but a total beginner with the Japanese helmet! Hopefully then it is OK!

Its an Army helmet. Navy would have a different insignia, or painted anchor on the front, as well as a bit different liner. Army star could be original to the shell, hard to tell from those pics, but looks to have been there fro a long time.

To me the helmet's paint, liner and chin strap looks to be good. Nothing bogus about them. The Star? I suppose it could be an add on, same for the paint. I don't know. But the Helmet is good.

It's an investment. Unless the economy collapses and the Dollar ceases to be the World reserve Currency it will appreciate in value. Tell her you can sell it for more in a few years. And it's holding it's value better then the Dollar.
