    The Hero and the Villain - Okinawa

    Last month I picked up a sword and paid a nice sum even though the blade was damaged due to neglect, because it was picked up on Okinawa by a Marine during the battle. One fact led to another, and in the end it turned out to have a interesting story behind it. I posted all the info here, thanks for looking.

        Which one are you reading? I just finished Hallas's Sugar Loaf Hill. It doesn't get any more vivid than that tome. BTW I just posted a unpublished combat account from Corporal White of the 29th Marines on the site below "on the tip of the spear" he's really descriptive about killing the enemy and combat gear usage while in combat on Okinawa. He's still kicking and into rifle matchshooting, I just got his file on his post war China experiances but haven't read it yet.
