    Sword Tang Markings

What I have are a couple of Japanese swords laying around that I took some photos of the markings but I have zero idea of how to read. Any help would be great appreciated.

second sword might be Ishido Terruhide (sorry I'm not sure on the spelling). he made swords of a good quallity in Mino province, I think he also made some for the seki forges and it looks like the seki stamp has had somone attempt to remove

I have a sword by Terruhide but I dont have access to it at the moment. to compare the signatures I do know that mine is a two carracter signature though.

Thanks! With a little searching from what you provided, I found the below linked site. IS this on the right track or does this happen to fall intot eh note at the below of the linked site? This is confusing to me

I believe this is the sword smith (seki swords were signed on behalf of the smith by dedicated people so the chisle work can be a bit odd sometimes, looks like yours was done by the same person who did the two carracter signature in the link you posted).

                    "敏秀 (Toshihide)"

the same website you found has a list of Seki smiths

                    http://home.earthlink.net/~ttstein/seki.htm

I must admit i'd forgotten about this site,

you can ask the good folk on the Nihonto Message Board to get the skinny on who signed it...pretty sure its not Toshi or Teru... ask here under translation
