    Navy Uniform, reproduction?

    http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg315/galizien/IJN/

Hello, I recently acquired the above uniform from a friend. Looking through the forums, I came across a very similar uniform that board members were puzzled about here:

Does anybody know what model mine is? Officers? I couldn't get a good shot of the label, hopefully it's legible. I have the trousers as well, I will try to get pics of them later if anyone is interested.

    Thanks,

    Josh

    Hello,

Your tunic is reproduction. made by Nakata Syoten. After war pieces.
You can see 複 on label, it means reproduction jacket.
Nakata Syoten stamps word 複 on their jackets label in order to collectores notice it is reproduction.
By the way. good reproduction model jacket.

Nakata Shoten makes some high quality replicas, Mr. Nakata wrote the "Imperial Japanese Army and Navy Uniforms and Equipment" book many Japanese collectors use. http://www.amazon.com/Imperial-Japan.../dp/0935554041
You can see the Nakata Shoten catalog at http://www.nakatashoten.com/indexmenu.html

        Thanks for the replies.

The tunic, especially the collar, is confusing. What model is it? EM or officer?
