British P1907 bayonet with Japanese or Chinese markings?

Hello forum...

I bought this yesterday yard saling. I found only three yard sales on New Years Day

I was desparate to buy something and paid $20 bucks for this thing.

The only reason I bought it... is due to the odd markings?

It appears to be a British P1907 bayonet with all markings removed (or never had any)... and then either Japanese charters or Chinese hand stamped in?

Any idea what this is?

Looks like random chisel strikes & not kanji to my eyes

it appears on both sides of the blade... and the pommel?
