You would have to give more info or photos. Condition 1st or 2nd type

      Hello edbullet,

Are you a retailer of some sort? I've assisted you before and all the threads you start seem to have the theme of what is it/what's it worth. A number of the items you've asked about are very basic in the TR militaria field leading me to conclude you are not a militaria collector but rather a dealer of sorts in another area. Antique store or something perhaps? Just curious.

          hello,
First off Stu thanks for any help you have giving ( much apreciated). No I am not a dealer just collect and am new at this. So I figure with a resource like this one why not use it. as far as what I collect I started out wanting to collect lugers, so I bought all the books and joined the luger forum great place. problem is just do not see alot of them around. When one does come up it is usaully beat up, over priced, and comes with a story. Oh yea and when you do not want to pay an arm and a leg for it they usauly get mad. So now I just collect what comes by now someone has offered a navy helmet cover an navy uniform and leggings but can not figure out how to post pics. oh yea that is what I am leaning towards now is photo albums and pics, but they have their pitfalls also.

                  Hi Ed,

                  OK, good to know.

If you're a newbie maybe I can help you out. You mention getting into pics. I have a number of TR ones I've obtained over the years and have no need for. Let me know your focus and if I have any that fit I'll send them your way.

                  Regards,
                  Stu

Does the jacket have sewn in label as well as pants ? Does hand written name match ? Nice first pattern helmet cover! PM me too as I have some rare photos & albums etc

The best way to think about value is how bad do I want it and what am I willing to pay. Many collectors myself included pay more than something is worth because we need it to fill a hole in our collection or we just plain and simple want it.

How exactly were helmet covers issued? This question has been bugging me for some time. Was it 1 in 3 guys, handed out until there weren't any left, etc.?

Every soldier was issued a cover and a net. After the supply lines were cut I suppose if your wore out you took what was left and then it was your choice to use a net or take another cover from a dead soldier.
