    tang translation pleeeeease

    Hi all
    Just got this one. Blade only in plain wood storage scabbard and hilt. Just wondered when it might date from ? Any help most appreciated. I have smoked the signature , hope its good enough.

      sorry if it upside down , the tang hole is near the blade and I assumed that was thw right way up. Here it is the other way up.

        I think the smith name is Kanemitsu.
        There where lots of smiths with that name.

                hello
                The kanji (writening) dosnt tell age.
                Does the nakago (tang) have a stamp , like a cherry blossom over the mekugiana (hole)?
                I would like to see the nakago in a photo ,this can tell more about the age.

                      I think sword smith is Kanesaki, not Kanemitsu.

                          There were many Kanesaki who had same name.
                          From your pictures, age is edo-period, around 1800. Good Katana and nice shape.
