Mass graves found on iwo jima. Good to hear that there is a research team still wroking on this.

thanks - good article. Interesting that the location of a large number of war dead was not communicated earlier to Japanese authorities but I can understand the many reasons why it may have gotten missed. It would be rewarding to be involved in the identification and return of remains. We have the technology to identify individual soldiers, but in these mass Japanese WWII burials, I wonder if they will go through the effort?
