Arisaka sling question

Hello, of the referances Ive viewed I cant identify this sling. It is present on a type 38 rifle 23rd series. Is this an Arisaka sling? Best, Bill

It's not Japanese maybe a us sling

It's a U.S. style sling used from the M1 to the M16. The cotton web were used on the M1 Garand. We were issued the same style sling except in nylon web in the 70's. The buckle is on upside down, the latch should point towards the sling tip. The quick connect clip should also be on the butt end of the rifle
