opinion on japanese flag

I got this a few weeks ago and wondering if its legit??? I do have the japanese flag book, but wanted your opinions. To me the writing looks very similar, but I know nothing about the japanese language

Where did you get it from ?
The handwriting is without doubt Japanese, but unsure, or more on the doubtful side, that it's an original wartime yosegaki flag. There a few telltale signs that lead to a more modern make-up.
