can any one help me with this helmet ..real ?? Its rather unusal and made of hard paper ..Looks just like a normal Japanese helmet in everyway ..Mde of some sort of a ribbed inside fiber construction ?? See pictures

These have been misidentified as rare officer's parade helmets & other flights of fancy

At least one shows up on eBay occasionally, identified as a movie prop as Jareth has stated.

Loads of these will be turning up as Angels (movie costume place in the uk) had a big box of these on sale in the uk last year, all of them were used in the early british war films and were being sold for £20 each (I got the only 2 real ones outa the box but they had been re fittefd post war)
