Not sure where you can find info besides actually getting the Japanese WWII manual for this. Purchased the legging portion with case on Ebay a while back for $18.00 so not much interested I guess for these. Regardless here is a photo of one actually in use on a horse during the Battle of Okinawa. PS: This is an Army Official Photo so copy away

If people only had the good sense of showing appreciation/respect for the time other people spend responding. I have extensive info on the subject, but why bother? This guy missed out big time.

Yes, it's disappointing when this happens. This is an unusual subject but quite interesting nevertheless. That photo is excellent, and it's great to see a pair of leggings as well, quite fascinating!
