Aloha all,
Just wanted to share something that I found today. I bought this radio several months ago, got it and put it away. Well, today I happen to pull it out took it outside and decided to clean it up a little. While I was cleaning it, I noticed all the writing on the back side of the radio which I thought was pretty damn kewl
. looking closely you can see that it is infact period done. Here is what is written on the back:
First Row: Saipan July 7 1944 - Garapan
Second Row: Capt Harry E. Savely U.S.M.C.R 022640
Third Row: VAMPHCORPS - F.M.F. PAC. then a Logo
Now can anyone here tell me what the logo inscribed signifies? I guess you had to mark your souvenir so no one stole it. thanks and enjoy. David.
