    Hello,

    I have one Wakizashi, that is Edo-perido.
    Length is about 40cm.

              Too me it looks like it was made by Kunihira ,Settsu province.He was active in year 1673.

                this link shows the same smith, hard to call, but the mei posted by Jacques D which knowing him its shoshin, does not quite match.

                  Bichunokuni Mizuta ju Kunishige Saku.(備中國水田住国重作)
                  This means "Kunishige made this Wakizashi who live in Mizuta,Bichu".
                  Bichunokuni is old japanese place-name, now it is Okayama province.
                  And Kunishige is name of man who manufactured this Wakizashi, Kunishige means many manufacturer. This Kunishige is third generation Kunishige, his active year is 1624-1644.

                              Great piece!! I remember when many years ago I owned and sold an aikuchi from Edo period but with the blade dated back to the Muromachi!!!
