hi...i have this Wakizashi sword i was wondering if i could find out anything about it...blade length is 15 1/2" from tip to tsuba ...looks to be a temper line on the blade...ornate menukis.....any help would be appreciated...thnx

Actually the omote-mei reads 古銘 近江守源久道 (Komei Omi-no-kami Minamoto Hisamichi), the "Komei" translates to old mei and thus means the wak is "attributed" to Hisamichi.
The ura-mei reads 和泉守国秀楊之 (Izumi-no-kami Kunihide ageru kore), and means that Kunihide did the o-suriage that probably converted the original Hisamichi katana into a wakizashi (and thereby losing the Hisamichi mei when the original tang was lopped off).
