    Matching Arisaka with Bayonet

    Hello,
I have a Type 99 Arisaka, Nagoya 5th series, in the "30k serial number", thus I'm guessing it is probably of the 1942-ish time. I want to buy a bayonet to match up with it (not serial number match, just arsenal match). Would the bayonet to get be just the regular Nagoya one, or what about those other ones that were "supervised" by Nagoya?

    Thank you

    Rough Estimate

There is no true dating of bayonets to rifles, but a lot of theories. I would say either a strait guard bayonet with fullers, either screws or rivets, or a hook guard bayonet with fullers and rivets. A hook guard with screws and a hook is probably too early, one without fullers, too late. My opinion, and others may have a better one.
