Japanese officer's field cap

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could give an opinion on this? I guess I wanna believe it's all original, but I'm suspicious about the star being a post-war add on and maybe a new chin strap?

IMO for me it looks like a post war cap, also chinstrap seems to be off a japanese visor and not what you would see on this type of cap.
