Jap. Coat Offering, What is it?

Terry, unless it's pretty cheap I would pass. It's a nice looking coat but I have to agree the insignia looks to be added post-war and to be honest, who knows who would have worn this coat during the war....could have been a mailman or a cop. This will be a coat with questions hanging over it forever.

Thank you for all your thoughts. I had a hinky (not to be confussed with blinky) feeling about it. That is why I wanted some opinions on it. I am not going to buy it. He wanted $115 with a leather belt that I think is Chinese made(modern).
