Neat David, I know of one dealer who has some labels for "Silver Wing Sake". Have you noticed a variety of colors and logos for the different beer companies? Thanks for posting the label.

Junichi got it right on the last bottle with the label. It's a bottle of fermented lactic acid called Calpis in Japan and sold to this day. It's known as Calpico when sold here in the States due to obvious "pronunciation" problems with Calpis.
It's not the bottled drink with the "push-in" marble top though. That's called a Lamune.

Lamune (Ramune), ah, another blunder on my part! (although I love the lamune drink, but why so $$?). Actually, I did see a bottle of Calpis water (also spelled like that) in a shop and my wife and I had such a laugh, I just had to buy it to try it. Yeah, the lactic acid thing, its been a while but I think it was kinda like very sweet yogurt water.

anyhow, again, sorry for the mix up. but still, neat to know the stuff is still being sold to this day!

Interesting, Like I said above I think it would have been a welcome treat over what was probably available. I would never had guessed what this really was. Another collector and I had speculated that it was some kind of energy drink lol. As I said in previous threads I have really been looking into what their diet was ect. This is one of the interesting facets of their lives I have been longing to know about. Junichi & Takehito, thanks to the both of you for identifying and shedding some light on what was a mystery to me. Thanks as always.
