    Comander's Badge

Does anyone have good photos of the obverses and reverses of the various Commander's Badges? I understand that some are being produced in Japan today. If so, how can you tell the difference between a war issue and one made now? Thanks in advance for you help.

I have asked this question before and pictures have not been forthcoming. However, you might see the link below for some guidance:

azyeoman, rule of thumb for medals is to always check the back. the fakes usually have the back poorly done and nothing like the originals. e.g. the fake commander badges don't have the four die impressons the real ones does, as posted by david.

david, thanks for posting those pics. and thanks again for my new navy marked sake jug!

Yes as Kaigunair mentioned one thing I have not seen on the reproduction ones are the four die impressions on the back. No problem and hope you enjoy the Navy marked Sake Jug as much as I have.

                      Commander's Badge Thanks

Thank you very much for posting the photos. The differences are glaring and so no one should be fooled by the reproduction ones. My sincerest thanks again.
