These have been offered to me. They came from a WW2 US Navy Corpsman. His son said his father took them from dead Japanese during the war.
These both are 100 % cotton. One has small paper reinforcing in the corners. The other is badly stained. It looks like rust or scorch marks. The rising sun is printed on them. They both measure approx. 13 x 16 inches. I believe these are often referred to as bayonet flags. The owner thinks they are worth about $75.00 US each? Any information you have will be helpful.
