Strange cap. I'd say it might be an unusual officer's cap with an ink stamp interior. I have not seen an officer's cap with a stamp like that. There are soooo many variations of officer's field caps that I'm not surprised. They were all privately purchased. Not easy to find chinstraps, side buttons etc. The strap does look thicker? Insignia you can find loose. Is the insignia hand stitched & do stitches go through interior? Enlisted caps had two sets of interior stamps. The interior on most officer's caps are silk or colored fabric. Your interior material is similar to enlisted. Could be late war? Maybe the stamp translation would help.Comment

Thank you Jareth for reply I cant see the stitching from interior if it was hand stitched it was done well the ink stamp is the only marking on cap I have the same thoughts odd indeedComment
