the jpn army flight helmets do have a star, but it is usually leather and matches the helmet. navy ones had neither a star nor an anchor.

the item is a cold weather hat with some "embellishing" done regarding the star. can't tell cause the pics are that bad (go figure). these cold weather caps sorta resemble pre/early war navy flight helmets with the ear flaps, which is why he probably added the star...

I'm referring to the c**man one. the army leather one is just interesting b/c both of the ear cups are gone and so is the strap...gotta wonder what it went through....

yeah I know its quit interesting...the leather one is being sold by my dad...i asked about which one you were talking about with the star because I would have been able to talk some clearer better shots if it were the leath one lol
