lol, stephen.it was the nihonto site that i could not reduce the image...Im starting to really think that there is not doubt this is an original Jian now ..i think the nxt thing to figure out is if its possiblr to pin down a time frame

Everyone, last night,Stephen did some looking around on the web and found out this style of Jian was from thr QING Dynasty 1644-1911....in hand this sword looks old but i dont think its hundreds of years old...probally early 1900's I would assume. Can anyone read the kanji on the blade,do you tjink this might be a makers name? Also I made a search on ebay and there are no REAL Jians...why is this,i dont think that these would be scarce by anymeans, but i am usually wrong.

The gunto`s seppas has to be placed in the right position and side.
I dont like the china sword , looks "new" to me.

Thanks Gunto...what do you means about the seppas? Do you mean they are out of correct order? If so tell me what the proper order is so I could go change it,thanks!

Hi, Yes it was in correct order I meant.
The first seppa near habaki , schould have the normal seppa rim and a smaller hole (for lock clip)than the other seppa. Also look for traces from habaki. The one near fuchi has a larger hole for the lock clip.
Second one in brass with round rim ,It has same size as the first.
Third one is the one with "small leafs" rim.
Fourth and last one same as the the inner look on tsuba.

              Hope this gave an idear.

Nearly , You need to switch the 2 seppas in the middle , on each side.
                    Then it schould look correct.
