japanese fur hat price?

i spotted a japanese fur hat, nice condition at a show last week, the dealer wanted around £280 for his. ( i didnt buy it)

i was just wondering what a good price is for a japanese fur hat these days as i really want one

I had a real nice condition,WWII ,Japanese, wool winter cap, with rabbit fur.I purchased it in the late 1990's for around $200 ,and sold it a few years ago for about $375. It was an all original ,well marked ,very clean example.

The label is unlike the normal ink stamped army marking. I think your cap might be Chinese.

Regarding the hat on ebay, it is Japanese. The label shows it came from a shop in Osaka. But is is marked 洋服 (Western wear) and the stamp is not a mum but the civilian railroad worker's insignia. It is certainly a pre-war Japanese civilian hat.
