    Japanese collection dumped in an Alabama River!

    Take a look at these links. A whole collection dumped in a river and now in the hands of the ATF.

    gutted, I guess that might have been the case and they didnt have them regged, or old Grandad passed away, and they didnt know what to do with them

    I would send the ATF an email if I was you :P

        Unbelievable! There is no way in Hades I would have dumped that cache of Historical Firearms. Just sickening that it has come to this point. Thanks for posting a very interesting thread. Todd

          Wow, what a shame . I wonder what else those who dumped the weapons had in there house as well. All in the trash. Someone should find the local paper and run a wanted to buy for a few weeks and see if they can pull more out of the local woodwork in the area.

            yes, this dumping was very specific. THere's probably other equally nice condition non fully automatic weapons and militaria perhaps. LIkey keepers or eventually for sales. E B A Y !

            One of those dumped appears to be a beautiful condition Japanese type 98 Machine gun. Super rare. Utilized by the Japanese on aircraft. Very high rate of fire. check out the following videos of one being fired.

                The Youtube videos look like a German aircraft machine gun. Was the type 98 a copy of the German MG 15.

                  Yes, the MG 15 was copied for use in the Japanese aircraft as the Type 98 flexible-mounted machine gun.
