    IJN/SNLF First Aid Bag

    Aloha,

Just wanted to share with you my new addition. I was finally able to get this NLF Medical Bag from a Museum on Okinawa. Front says "Size 1 (large) First Aid Kit" I have tried to get this for two years and after I returned from my trip a few weeks ago from Okinawa, A friend of mine was finally able to get it for me after I left. I should received it in a few days. I will take better photos once it arrives. David.

Thanks all, does anyone have a photo of one of these complete with all its contents? I have seen contents of a Size 2 (medium) First Aid Kit and would guess that the contents are the same for the large one to include additional items. David.

          Hello all,

SNLF First Aid Bag type 2

I think type 1 is medical orderly type.

Type 2 is normal soldier type.

JP, that's the model I own. I'm told there are at least two variations of the type 2. Thanks for posting that photo showing the pouch in use! I believe mine has shaker can/dispenser & numerous navy marked bandages.

Here is my recently acquired vet bring back, poor condition but pretty cool. Pics and wound tag came from same vest. Guy in both pics was manning an MG according to the vet.
