In lieu of New Years fireworks

With 40 minutes to go before my German neighbors start terrorizing the neighborhood wildlife with their boring fireworks that they go to Belgium to buy, here's something more colorful to wrap up 2008. Because of all the talk about black and grey on the forum this year, starting from a grey cherry and then something more colorful.

Nice stuff! However, what's wrong with fireworks? I love shooting them off at the neighbors cats

                Nick,

Absolutely beautiful (helmet and medals)! Is that an 1874 War medal?, wow! Thanks for posting. I still have a ways to go. Zach

Happy New Year to all our Japanese board members! Nick great helmet! Either I've seen this one before or it's the second one with black painted top vent! Were the chinstraps replaced, repaired or added (black stitches) ?

Nice posts and items Nick and Zach....I will try to find some things to add to this firework show. After all this is my kind of firework show.

I love it Nick, especially the 1874 medal.

I think the other one you refer to is the one shown here from the John Egger collection http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...blossom&page=2

The chin straps have been repaired or tinkered with.
