                  Does there appear to be any "new" serial numbers on the left side of the receiver? Are there 3 numbers or 4? Is the barrel smoothed or rifled? Sure does seem as if this one has seen better days. Thanks for the additional pics. Zach

                    The stocks were dovetailed because it saved wood.

                    Some early type 38s and type 30s have one piece stocks, but they are very rare.

                    And type 30s are harder to find than 38s and 99s, if they are all matching, then they are extremely rare as almost every single one of them was refurbed by someone.
