    help with kanji on canteen

just picked up my first japanese canteen. On one side it has some kanji or hirakana that I need some help on. On the other side has US writing with some of the places they had been: New Caledonia, Guadal Canal, soldiers names, and pics. Looks to have also been on fire on the front part of the canteen. Also, can anyone tell me what the bottom means? thanks for the help!

The Kanji looking scribble is make-believe and probably marked by the same GI who marked the locations.

The bottom marking is the makers mark Nippon Aluminum.
