IJN ID booklets--Do they exist???

Hey all,

I have seen IJA ID booklets periodically on dealer/auction sites, but I have never seen anything in regards to an IJN ID booklet. Did the Japanese navy issue such documents to their sailors/officers? Any info. on this would be greatly appreciated.

(I collect IJA ID booklets btw, specifically those dated from Taisho on through to Showa 20, or just Showa exclusive--if anyone has one or many IJA ID booklets for sale, I would be very interested. Thanks!)

I presume you are refering to the commonly seen Guntaitecho booklets that every Japanese Army soldier had.
The Navy did not have these. I am not completely sure just what was used, but I have seen small ID papers that were used for Naval personel. I presume this is what they used.
