Recent find, grey naval helmet

I just picked up this grey naval helmet at a local show on the weekend. It is flat grey inside which looks to be the original color and it appears to have had another lighter shade of grey painted on the outside, and also around the inside rim. There doesn't seem to be any other color of paint present anywhere. Liner is cloth, and the chinstraps have been shortened and tied into a tight knot. The anchor has lost one of its brass prongs but is still intact. Missing one liner rivet. I'm very excited about this helmet, as I've never seen one like this before. I hope that the experienced helmet collectors will offer their opinions and thoughts on this helmet, and its likely use. I have 22 pics which should cover everything in detail.

I had one just like this i snatched the anchor off it and sold it for 200.00 what a mistake lol
