    Japanese "snow" helmet cover

I noticed in the "NLF Helmet and Cover" thread that Banzai64 noted he had not seen a Japanese "snow" helmet cover (nor have I). Considering thr long presence of the Japanese in the northern reaches of China/Manchuria, and short term in the Aleutians, it would seem possible that these exist. Has anyone got a picture of one?

I have a several reference books and DvDs covering the Japanese Army and NLF. I have never seen a snow cover in this form. Potentially white paint or whitewash would have been adequate.

This is all heresay BUT another collector said he say a photo in some period Japanese publication of army troops wearing their helmet covers inside out with white interior showing. Collector said he barely noticed till he saw ink block stamp showing on one of the reversed covers.

Makes sense, and an easy way to camo for snow

Having a talent for totally missing the obvious, this simple answer eluded me. The reversed helmet cover makes sense. Thanks.
