First off, I got this for free, which is just slightly below its value I think. I believe it is Japanese due to the markings, but is it a civil defense helmet or an earlier army helmet? There's a flare to the front lip so it is not 'round' like others I've seen. Basically it's a rusty shell with a big dent on top that's been painted blue, and that's about all I know.
