USMC unit on Wake at J. surrender '45???

Bought a J. helmet, was told it was vet bring-back by J.D. Marion, USMC., from Wake Island. Anyone know what USMC units were present at J. surrender at Wake in '45?

I think it was a USMC ship detachment w/Marine color guard. Probably a Naval shore party as well.
